This article is a complete guide that covers the Terms and Conditions for users of GriotSites' Web Insurance Services.

One of the main keys to having a good Web Property is keeping it fresh! Visitors will return time and time again when they are accustomed to the information changing on a regular basis.

As part of our post-care for Web Property Owners, we offer an affordable maintenance service plans that is just right for those who need to make minor updates during the month. Our Web Insurance Plans are good for church Web Properties as well as clubs, monthly events etc.

***This service is only for those whose Web Property is developed through GriotSites Web Developement team.

Most Web Properties designed by GriotSites will be built on a WYSIWYG system that requires html knowledge in order to make changes. This basically means that although you have easy access to change a phone number, title picture or service description, you may not know how to change it due to coding. If you want to keep your Web Property updated and always current without worrying about finding someone to do the coding for you, we offer maintenance/insurance plans to fit any budget. We are also a licensed distributor for WYSIWYG Site Builder for Clients who wish to perform their own updates. The WYSIWYG software we offer is compatible with our systems and can be used to maintain all sites developed by GriotSites.

GriotSites is a professional web hosting and design entity. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone requesting update posting that contains unwanted content such as:

*Information used for Illegal purposes
*Ponography

Or any other purpose that does not follow our family-centered philosophy.

Web pages developed by GriotSites cannot be modified to contain:

*Illegal material
*Inappropriate or offensive material

Or any other material that does not follow our family-centered philosophy.

What We Do

GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ maintains existing "informational" Web Properties individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations developed by the Griot Team. GriotSites maintains informational web pages so they serve as an up-to-date resource to site visitors.

Submitting Content for Posting

The information contained within the web pages shall be authored by the Client and submitted to GriotSites in its FINAL format via primary email. If the information and text submitted is not in its final format and contains spelling, grammatical, syntax errors, etc., GriotSites may charge the Client $35 and hour (minimum 1 hour) for additional time needed to correct the errors that should have been corrected before submission.

Time Stamp for Each Post Request

When a posting request is submitted to GriotSites, the Client should receive a return message that says,

GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ may make recommendations regarding the content of the web pages, however the Client shall make the final decision and approve the content of the web pages.

Editing Rounds Per Post Submission

GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ Web Property Insurance Plans constitute changes to the current Web Property and its existing web pages using the current Web Property theme. Each posting submission is allowed only 1 edit round. This means that the Client is allowed only 1 correction to be made AFTER we post the initial submission. It is important to make sure that the correct information is submitted to us the first time so that we don't waste time correcting errors submitted to us. We will no longer be responsible for content that is submitted to us with incorrect information, and a $35 per hour charge will be added if a second or more edit is needed on the same post. 

Example: If you submit a post that contains dates, and there is an error found during the "approval" process, just submit the 1 round of corrections and GriotSites will make the correction. Once the corrections are made and after receiving the final "Your Web Property is Updated!"  message, any errors you find AFTER receiving the "update" message will be considered an "emergency edit" and a charge of $35 per hour will be applied to the Client's account (minimum 1 hour).

There are 3 kinds of Web Property Insurance Plans Available:

1) Da LightHouse Web Property Insurance Plan
2) LaRoyale Web Property Insurance Plan
3) VIPA Web Property Insurance Plans

Web Insurance Plans cover the time spent performing warranty work to correct bugs, spelling errors, perform minor cosmetic/text corrections or changes that are "very" minor (5-minute change) that may have resulted from errors overlooked by the Client or GriotSites. It DOES NOT cover old errors that were not caught during the initial Web Property Evaluation regardless of who may be responsible of making them.

All post submissions under the Web Property Insurance Plan MUST be submitted 7 days before being posted. Any submissions that need posting BEFORE the 7 days will fall under our
Emergency Plan at a rate of $35 per hour (minimum 1 hour).

*All post submissions under the Web Property Insurance Plan will be performed on Mondays ONLY.  The rest of the week will be utilized to focus on developing new site properties and troubleshooting existing ones. We really pride ourselves on providing undivided attention to each Client's Web Property ,that is why it is important to follow the posting schedule completely to assure that postings are performed on time.
(This does not apply to VIPA members. Emergency services are part of the VIPA Web Insurance Plan). 

*All post submissions must be received in the GriotSites office via email no later than closing time on Monday at 8 pm mst.

For instance, if you have content that needs posting to your Web Property and you submit it on Sunday, January 8th, it will be posted on January Monday, January 15th. 





Maintenance due to changing needs may include minor or major changes to the website. Major changes include a new project of additional screens, and additional information/graphics, and redesign that affect the entire site. It may include major rewording of pages and changes to graphics due to changing needs. Major changes that affect the entire website will require a new contract agreement. Minor changes are changes that do not affect the entire website.

3) Maintenance due to recurring needs includes publication of news reports, press releases, current events, schedule of events, etc.

Brobst Systems maintenance of a website may include one or more of the following that are the result of recurring needs and minor changing needs:
text changes (such as news, press release, current events, scheduled events, rewording of text, etc.)
simple maintenance and/or addition of graphics provided by the client to an existing web page (up to 1 hour of work per site only). Major changes in graphics layout in an existing web site shall be considered a new redesign project.
simple navigational changes (up to 1 hour of work per site only). Major navigational changes shall be considered a new redesign project.
simple page design changes (up to 1 hour of work per site only) Major page design changes shall be considered a new redesign project.
addition of new pages as links from an existing page and not as links that will change the navigation of the web site. The addition of new pages shall follow the current web site theme.
upload of pages and/or site to the web host or we-exist.net
Web hosting and domain name registration are extra services that can either be selected and processed by the Client or Brobst Systems as agreed. Site submission to more than three search engines and directories and web positioning are extra services charged at an hourly rate. Special graphics shall be charged based on Independent Graphics Designer Contractor fees plus administrative fees.
6. If the Client chooses for Brobst Systems to process the Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration, E-mail Forwarding, and URL forwarding through a third party, a service fee above and beyond the fees of the third party fees will apply. All fees relating to web hosting, domain name, and forwarding must be paid in advance in order to process the application.
7. Brobst Systems maintains the Client web site or web pages on Brobst Systems web space until the client web site is complete and paid in full. Upon receipt of full payment the client web site is transferred to the client server/domain. Payments are based on the maintenance plan selected by the client due at the payable date of the selected plan. Payments must be made in check payable to "Brobst Systems" and mailed to PO Box 262041 San Diego, CA 92196.

2) LaRoyale Web Property Insurance Plan
3) VIPA Web Property Insurance Plans

7. Brobst Systems maintains the Client web site or web pages on Brobst Systems web space until the client web site is complete and paid in full. Upon receipt of full payment the client web site is transferred to the client server/domain. Payments are based on the maintenance plan selected by the client due at the payable date of the selected plan. Payments must be made in check payable to "Brobst Systems" and mailed to PO Box 262041 San Diego, CA 92196.


Web Insurance Premium Plan Payments

All Web Insurance Plans are prepaid and expire on the day after its due date if not paid UNLESS payment arrangements were previously made BEFORE the due date.


Pay-as-You-Post Payment Plans



GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ reserves the right to delete/ download/ pull down/ take down the Client Web Property changes performed by GriotSites Development team for non-payment with or without notice.


Not included would be a request to create full new pages, or new functionalities, such as adding an events calendar that is not already originally there. These would be UPGRADES rather than UPDATES, and would require a development time quote and budget.





GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ reserves the right to update the meta tags of the web pages developed to improve position of the Web Property in major search engines without prior notice or approval from the Client. A written request is needed if a Client does not want GriotSites to update their site's meta tags, or wish to submit their own for keywords for GriotSites to include.

Client

The Client agrees to protect, defend, hold harmless and to indemnify GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™, its Owners, its Affiliates and its Independent Contractors, from any claims, including attorney's fees, resulting from the Client's use of GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ services.

The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ provides all web hosting services for Clients who have Web Insurance coverage.


The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ will only provide the maintenance offered in each respective Web insurance plan. The Client also understands that GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ does not offer on-call services in its insurance plans EXCEPT for the VIPA plan.

The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ is not a marketing firm but offers the service to those who desire it. The Client also understands that we may out-source to a marketing firm that we are affiliated with to perform or complete a web marketing job.

The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that ALL Site contents shall be reviewed, finalized, and approved by the Client.

GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ will make every effort to return inquiries or at least acknowledge that the Client's inquiry has been received within 48 hours. The Client understands, agrees and acknowledges that a phone appointment may be necessary to discuss further edit request(s).

The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that contact with GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ shall be made primarily through email at websites@griotsites.com.


The Client understands, agrees and acknowledges that all pictures and documents that are submitted to GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™ to be scanned and included in the Web Property shall be emailed to GriotSites via their primary email account.

The Client understands, agrees, and acknowledges that GriotSites may recommend third-party services to enhance the Web Property.

Use of this web site constitutes acceptance of the www.griotinternational.com Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
